allow time for your cat to go through the admissions procedure prior to closing.
Treetops Cattery is situated at the rear of the Midland Veterinary Surgery in Leyton and was established by Ron & Nora Gardner in the 1980s but is now managed by the practice. It has expanded over the years and can now accommodate 40 cats in individual or family pens.
The cattery is fully licensed and inspected by the local authority in Waltham Forest. It has furthermore undergone a complete rebuild with an impressive new kitchen, isolation and pens large enough for two cats as required by recent regulations, so the cattery is now more bright and airy. It offers reasonably-priced boarding throughout the year so that owners can relax and enjoy their own holiday.
The cattery has full central heating which is used during the cooler months. Every secure and spacious pen has a sheltered sleeping area with warm fleece bedding. Top quality litter and trays are provided and cleaned regularly. As a result of the rebuild, cats now have much larger sleeping quarters with full sized opening doors and additional exercise space with individual scratching posts. Our family pen can now accommodate up to four cats.
Our guests are offered a range of good quality diets and we try to cater for each cat’s individual preferences. If your pet is receiving a veterinary prescription diet, then you must bring this with you on the day of arrival since we may be unable to supply it. However, you are very welcome to leave some treats for your pet to have during their stay with us.
Our cattery staff, Helen and Bryony are dedicated to their work so that you can be confident your cat is in safe hands. They will be only too pleased to show you around the cattery by appointment. They go to great lengths to make your pet feel at home in a friendly environment by giving them lots of care and attention.
The veterinary staff at the practice can be called on at any time to check any health problems that may arise during your pet’s stay, giving you further reassurance, particularly for older guests. A veterinary surgeon also lives on site above the practice. In addition, tablets and medicines can be administered during your pet’s stay at no extra cost.
